Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and agree to them prior to booking your main appointment for a treatment with Jo Evans Permanent Makeup:

Booking, payment and costs

-
A non-refundable booking fee of £50 is required to secure your main appointment, deductible from the full treatment cost
-
The booking fee is only refundable in the event of you experiencing an adverse reaction to the patch test, meaning treatment cannot go ahead. Evidence of such a reaction will be required before the booking fee is refunded
-
The full cost of any treatment (minus the booking fee) is payable at your main appointment. The follow up appointment (6-12 weeks later) is classed as free and does not incur an extra charge
-
If you make the decision not to return for your free follow up appointment the full treatment cost still applies; a partial refund will not be offered
-
Your follow up appointment is to be taken 6-12 weeks after your main appointment. Additional fees will apply if this timeframe is not adhered to
-
In the event Jo Evans Permanent Makeup is unable to fulfil your follow up appointment within the stated timeframe due to illness, forced closure or other unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, a reasonable extension will be offered at no additional cost to you
-
Only one follow up appointment is included in the treatment cost. If additional follow up appointments are requested, costs in line with the amount of work needed to obtain a satisfactory result will apply
-
All treatments (including the purchase of gift vouchers) are non-refundable
Rescheduling, Cancellations and Lateness

-
In the event you need to reschedule your appointment please provide as much notice as possible. Providing you give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice you will have the opportunity to transfer your booking fee to a new appointment
-
Cancellation within 48 hours of your appointment will result in your booking fee being lost. A new booking fee will be required to secure a new appointment
-
Cancellation within 48 hours of your free follow up appointment will lead to a £50 booking fee being required to secure a new follow up appointment
-
In the event Jo Evans Permanent Makeup needs to cancel your appointment (this will only occur in extenuating circumstances) your booking fee will be transferable to a new appointment
-
No-shows will result in your booking fee being lost. You may be asked to pay for future treatments in full prior to your appointment date
-
Late arrivals (in excess of 15 minutes) may lead to cancellation of your treatment. Sufficient time is scheduled for your appointment with reasonable contingency, but permanent makeup should never be rushed; cutting your appointment time by more than 15 minutes could have a negative impact on the outcome. Likewise, if your appointment starts late and runs over, this affects the client after you. In the event of necessary cancellation due to you being more than 15 minutes late, your booking fee will be lost and a further £50 booking fee will be required to secure a new appointment
-
Jo Evans Permanent Makeup reserves the right to refuse treatment (and retain the booking fee) if faced with any situation which they consider to be concerning; including, but not limited to:
-
abusive or threatening behaviour
-
a client’s excessive uncertainty about proceeding with the treatment
-
the client being, or suspected of being, under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Treatment and aftercare

-
Reactions to treatments are rare. In the unusual case of a reaction occurring during or post-treatment after a clear patch test has been carried out, Jo Evans Permanent Makeup will not be held liable
-
The treatment area and equipment needed to carry out your treatment is kept clean and sterile. Once you leave the clinic, environmental factors out with the control of Jo Evans Permanent Makeup come in to play. Jo Evans Permanent Makeup will not be held liable for any complications (including infection) arising after you leave the clinic
-
It is common for inconsistencies (such as one brow appearing lighter than the other) to occur between your main appointment and follow up. The follow up appointment is an opportunity to tweak and perfect. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you accept this to be the nature of the treatment
-
Whilst the upmost skill and attention is afforded to every treatment, results can vary and are never guaranteed. Lots of factors contribute to, and influence, the end result. These include, but are not limited to:
-
age
-
skin type
-
genetics
-
lifestyle
-
medications
-
environment
-
adherence to pre-treatment and aftercare advice
-
The above factors also contribute to the longevity of the treatment; therefore, any references made to expected timescales for how long treatments last or when a colour boost may be required are approximate and based on the average experience of Jo Evans Permanent Makeup’s clients
-
Adherence to pre-treatment and aftercare advice plays a vital role in the process and can influence the end result. Verbal and written instructions are provided at your consultation / main appointment. By accepting these Terms and Conditions you agree to follow the advice provided. Failure to do so can lead to an unsatisfactory end result. In this case additional follow up appointments may be required and will be charged accordingly
Contraindications
-
You will be asked at your consultation about any medical conditions and medications which may affect or prevent treatment going ahead. A consent form confirming this information will be completed by you at your main appointment. Jo Evans Permanent Makeup will not be held liable for any complications which arise during or after a treatment, where failure to disclose medical information has led to, or contributed to, such complications
-
Treatments cannot be carried out on anyone under the age of 18 or on those who are pregnant or breast-feeding
-
Medical conditions which are likely to prevent treatment going ahead include, but are not limited to:
-
skin conditions affecting the treatment area (psoriasis, eczema, undiagnosed rash etc.)
-
blood conditions and disorders (haemophilia, HIV, Hepatitis etc.)
-
conditions which affect the body’s ability to heal
-
uncontrolled blood pressure
-
Medical conditions which require further discussion (and in some cases a doctor’s written consent) before a decision is made whether a treatment can proceed include, but are not limited to:
-
Cancer and related treatment/s
-
Diabetes
-
Recent surgery
-
Some heart conditions / blood thinning medication
-
It is your responsibility to let Jo Evans Permanent Makeup know at the earliest opportunity if any changes occur to your medical situation between your appointments
Other considerations:

-
Eyelash extensions must be removed at least 2 weeks prior to having your eyeliner tattooed and should not be re-applied for at least 2 weeks after treatment (this applies to your main appointment and your follow up)
-
Lash growth serums should not be used in the 12 weeks prior to your eyeliner appointment (and your follow up) and avoided for 4 weeks after
-
Botox and fillers: it is advised to leave a 4-week period between permanent makeup and Botox / fillers. Ideally permanent makeup will precede your Botox / filler treatment
-
Lip treatments: if you have ever had a cold sore (even if you are not a regular or recent sufferer) you must be willing to obtain your own prescription for anti-viral medication such as Aciclovir tablets - to be taken for 5 days before and 5 days after your lip treatment and follow up appointment - in order for treatment to proceed. This will greatly reduce the risk of an outbreak although no guarantee can be offered in this respect. Very occasionally someone will be unaware that they are a carrier of the herpes virus that causes cold sores, and may experience a cold sore outbreak after a lip treatment. Jo Evans Permanent Makeup accepts no liability in this regard
Clinic etiquette

-
Please arrive on time for your appointment
-
Please come alone to your appointment; additional parties (including children) are not permitted in the treatment room and waiting areas are for clients only
-
Please ensure that mobile phones are kept on silent during your appointment and only checked if absolutely necessary. This helps avoid unnecessary distractions, keeping our full attention on your treatment
Photography and Data Protection

-
For insurance purposes it is necessary for photographs to be taken before and after your treatment as a record of the work carried out. Any photographs or videos taken before, during or after your treatment may also be used for advertising and marketing purposes unless you opt out via the consent form completed at your main appointment
-

Your information will never be shared with 3rd parties. A full copy of the Privacy Policy is available on request or by visiting www.joevanspermanentmakeup.co.uk
